Mr. Wei is currently Executive Director and Head of China Research at MSCI. Zhen is responsible for a wide range of applied research initiatives and thought leadership on China, ESG investing, factor investing, Fixed Income investing, global investing and systematic strategies.

Prior to joining MSCI, Zhen Wei led the Asia Pacific team of the Global Cross Asset Systematic Research division at J.P. Morgan. Before this, Zhen was a senior equity strategist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and fixed income strategist at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Wei has extensive research experience in global macro, ESG integration, asset allocation, risk management, quantitative models and investment product design. His research has been published in various international journals.

Zhen Wei acquired his PhD in Statistics and Master Degree in Financial Mathematics from Stanford University. He lectured MBA courses at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
