Whitney Whisenhunt, Vice President and Counsel, is Head of Corporate Governance, APAC for BNY Mellon. In her role, Whitney manages and is responsible for the providing of company secretarial and governance services to BNY Mellon’s entities in APAC, which also includes Australia, Japan and India. In addition, she advises senior stakeholders, directors and committee members on a wide range of legal, regulatory and governance issues, supports both Investment Management and Institutional Services’ legal entity Boards to ensure that they function efficiently and effectively, and educates directors and officers regarding their legal duties and responsibilities.

Whitney holds a Juris Doctor in Law from Temple University School of Law. Prior to returning to the region in 2008, she was a commercial litigator with the US law firm Cozen O’Connor.
