Terry Zhang is the Head of Commercial Development of Pengyuan International, a global credit ratingagency from China.

The company is a leading provider of credit rating services and research and it’salso one of the very few credit rating agencies recognized by Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission and also Chinese regulators. Terry leads the company’s development and execution ofsales strategies in the Greater China region.

Before Pengyuan International, Terry was spearheading Dagong Global’s international expansionefforts between 2012-2017, a Beijing based credit rating agency with offices in Hong Kong, Frankfurt and Milan. First setting up and initiating the office in Hong Kong, Terry last served as their Global Headof Marketing overlooking Asia and Europe’s marketing activities. Terry also represented Dagong Global and co-organised with International Capital Market Association (ICMA) the ‘Belt & Road Summit – Financing through Silk Road Bond’ in Hong Kong in 2016.

Terry is devoted to capital market research: he has not only been contributing to credit rating-related policy recommendations to Chinese regulators, but also financial literature translation including“Investing in Frontier Markets: Opportunity, Risk and Role in an Investment Portfolio”. Terry has alsoheld various positions in the Private Equity and Insurance sectors in pan-Asia space.
