Stuart Rae has been Chief Investment Officer for AllianceBernstein’s Asia-Pacific ex-Japan Value Equities business since 2006, and added Japan to his responsibilities last year. Prior to moving to Hong Kong to take up his current role in 2006, Stuart was Chief Investment Officer for AllianceBernstein’s Australian Value Equities business from 2003 to 2006. He joined the firm in 1999 as a research analyst, initially working in New York and London for four years in the global equity research team. Before AllianceBernstein, Stuart was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company for six years in Australia and the United Kingdom. He earned a BSc (Hons) degree in 1987 from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, and a DPhil in physics in 1991 from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
