John Baker is Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer for Asia ex-Japan based in Hong Kong. He is a member of the AEJ Executive Management Committee and maintains a number of directorships and supervisory functions for Nomura, including responsibility for the Office of Conduct and Culture.

Mr. Baker has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Since joining Nomura in 2008, he has served in a number of roles, including Senior Program Director for Front Office Supervision (EMEA); Chief Administrative Officer for European branches and subsidiaries; and Chief Administrative Officer for Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Baker has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
