Gabriel joined from Goldman Sachs, Asia, where he was Executive Director, Head of GS SUSTAIN Asia. In this current role, he representsand leadsBNPP AM’s stewardship activities in Asia Pacific, including researching key corporate governance issues, undertaking direct and collaborative corporate engagement, and engageswith policymakers on key issues relating to sustainable finance and investment. His expertise will be invaluable as BNPP AM continuesto reinforce its commitment toEnvironment, Social and Governance (ESG).
During his 12 years at Goldman Sachs, Gabriel was responsible for leading a team to identify long term investment opportunities in high quality companies, authoredresearch reports on key ESGissues, evaluatedthe performance of companies under a proprietary ESG scoring framework and focused on improving the performance of major corporations based in the region by incorporating ESG factors into fundamental company valuations.
He began his career as a research analyst for the infrastructure sector at Deutsche Bank and was a consumer sector analyst at Goldman Sachs in Australia prior to joining GS SUSTAIN in Hong Kong.
Gabriel holds a double Bachelor’s degree from The University of Melbourne, majoring in Commerce (Finance and Economics) and Information Systems and is a CFA charterholder.
