Eric Wu, Head of Asia Infrastructure Debt, is responsible for leading the development and execution of BlackRock’s APAC infrastructure debt strategy. In addition, Eric works closely with the infrastructure equity teams and regional partners to help expand BlackRock’s presence in the APAC region.

Eric spent over 15 years with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife) in various capacities, most recently as the Head of MetLife’s Asian infrastructure investment effort and Head of Credit for the Asia ex-Japan region and leading the infrastructure investment effort. Before relocating to Hong Kong, Eric spent over 6 years in New York as a team leader in MetLife’s Global Power, Energy & Infrastructure Investments business, having originated over US$2 billion of investments in US and international projects in the power, energy, utility, and infrastructure sectors. Eric comes to BlackRock via Cinda-Newbridge Investment Management Company where he worked closely with some of the largest China state-owned enterprises on Public-Private-Partnerships.

Mr. Wu graduated (Summa Cum Laude) from the Engineering physics Department of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and earned a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering at UCLA.  He received his M.B.A. from Cornell University.
