Donald Chen joined the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in April 2020 as Senior Advisor in the External Department and took up the responsibility in December 2020  for  the  development of renminbi business in Hong Kong, as well  as  liaison with Mainland authorities and international organisations such as IMF. Before joining the HKMA, Mr. Chen was an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong SAR Government and had worked in different policy bureaux and departments on policy formulation and administration.
