David has over 20 years of financial services experience encompassing investment banking, business development and financial technology across Asia and the United States. Currently, he is a Managing Director of IHS Markit, a London-based global information provider with a market capitalization of over US$20 billion.  His current responsibilities include chairing the APAC Financial Services Strategy Committee and leading the APAC Ipreo product suite.

Previously, David was Managing Director and Head of APAC for Ipreo. Former roles include Head of Marketing of the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange, Director at Merrill Lynch in the Strategy & Business Development Group and Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Financial Institutions Group.

David has served and continues to serve in leadership positions across a range of nonprofit and educational institutions including Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, Kellogg Alumni Club of Hong Kong, MIT Club of Hong Kong and the Phillips Exeter Academy General Alumni Association.  He earned an M.B.A. from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program and holds a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
