Boris Chan assumed the role of Head of Institutional Banking Group for DBS Hong Kong in 2024. He is responsible for managing and growing the bank’s Hong Kong corporate and institutional banking franchise.

Prior to this role, Boris held various senior positions with DBS, including the Head of Global Transaction Services in Hong Kong since 2021 when he supervised cash management, trade finance, securities and custody business, as well as the digital channels and innovation functions. In 2019, he was the Head of SME in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) where he developed the liability and supply chain businesses in Hong Kong and Guangdong. In 2016, he was the Head of SME Centre in DBS Hong Kong, leading the creation of hybrid digital and brick-and-mortar channels serving the larger SME communities in Hong Kong. He assumed the position after spending 6 years serving large and mid-cap corporate customers in Hong Kong as District Head.

Boris joined DBS as Management Associate in 2004, and he obtained Master of Finance, and Bachelor of Economics and Finance, from the University of Hong Kong.
