Andrew McCormack is the Centre Head for the Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub in Singapore.

Prior to this appointment at the BIS in 2020, Andrew was the Chief Information Officer at Payments Canada and was responsible for Canada’s clearing and settlement systems. As a technology and innovation leader, Andrew led a number of well-known Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) initiatives including Project Jasper (w/ Bank of Canada) and Project Dunbar (BIS), as well as ground-breaking work on real[1]time cross-border payment systems known as Project Nexus (BIS).

Andrew has an MBA from the Ivey Business School and Bachelor of Computer Science from Carleton University.
