Akshay Thakurdesai is the Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services in India. He is responsible for strategic direction and developing business opportunities for India custody service business. Prior to this, Akshay was the Chief Operating Officer of BNP Paribas Securities India Private Limited, the institutional brokerage arm of BNP Paribas India.

Akshay joined BNP Paribas in 2009 as a Lead Business Analyst in India Solutions. He has held several senior management positions like Head of Client Delivery for Securities Services and COO of the institutional brokerage business.

With more than 16 years of experience, Akshay has a wealth of experience in ITO, Business Project Management, Regulatory and Client Relationship Management in Securities Services and Global Markets – which are strategic business lines for BNP Paribas in India.
