David has more than 31 years of experience, of which that last 25 years has been exclusively working with clients in emerging markets such as Indonesia, Russia, and Central and Eastern Europe. He is currently based in Jakarta and leads our Financial Services industry practice in Indonesia.

From 2007 to 2011, David led the PwC Advisory practice in Hungary, and from 2012 to 2015 led the PwC Financial Services practice in Russia. He has worked with numerous clients in Indonesia in the banking and multifinance industries, as well as helping clients improve their internal control environment, corporate governance, including internal audit/GRC projects. He has extensive M&A Transaction Services experience in the course of his career and has led numerous due diligence assignments on behalf of international investors seeking to understand new markets.

David is experienced in working with clients reporting under IFRS, and subsidiaries of multinational groups that report to the head-office.

David is a thought leader in Indonesia when it comes to analysis and points of view on risk and risk management in banking and insurance, and has produced a number of thought leadership publications including:
