Eugene Cheung is Managing Director, Head of China at Tradeweb, responsible for developing and executing growth strategies for the firm in the region.

Eugene has worked in the investment and derivatives industry for more than fifteen years. Prior to Tradeweb, he was tasked with identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow CME Group’s business, establishing key partnerships with China financial infrastructures such as futures exchanges, China Foreign Exchange Trading System (CFETS), China Central Depository and Clearing (CCDC), and Shanghai Clearing House (SHCH), as well as banks, securities houses and futures companies.

Having graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance, Eugene received his master’s degree in finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
