Sally Chen is the IMF’s Resident Representative for Hong Kong SAR, covering financial market developments in the Greater China region. Additionally, in this capacity, Sally engages with academia, think tanks, media and market participants as she coordinates the Fund’s outreach in Hong Kong. Sally has been with the Fund since 2010, having previously worked on the U.S. and Spain desks. Her research focuses on macro-financial linkages, including global liquidity, financial cycles and the modalities and impact of debt deleveraging. Prior to joining the Fund, Sally was an economist with BNP Paribas Asset Management and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
