He is a Partner at Deloitte where he focuses on regulatory strategy and risk management advising banks, insurance and asset management firms on global, regional, and local regulatory trends and developments, and how to embed the changes in their governance, risk and compliance frameworks.

Lapman has advised financial institutions with authorization of new digital business models, and with preparation for Day 1 operational readiness from a people, process and technology perspective.

He is a frequent speaker on FinTech and RegTech and has conducted training to financial services regulators. Lapman is in an ongoing dialogue on FinTech and RegTech with regulators such as the UK FCA and in Hong Kong with the HKMA, SFC, MPFA, and the Insurance Authority where he is a member of the Future Task Force of the Insurance Industry. In addition, he is an AIIFL Honorary Fellow at the University of Hong Kong.
