Lawrence Lu is a Senior Director and Analytical Manager for Greater China Heavy Industries and Infrastructure group of S&P Global Ratings. Based in Hong Kong, Lawrence leads a team of analysts in Greater China evaluating the credit quality of companies in the utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, transportation, technology, and natural Resources sectors.. He is also an industry expert on China’s state-owned enterprises.

Before joining S&P Global Ratings in 2006, Lawrence spent more than eight years with British Petroleum (BP) in Hong Kong and China as a regional finance manager, where he managed financing activities for BP’s affiliate companies in China. He also worked as an associate at TD Securities in Toronto, Canada.

Lawrence graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China with a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Certified Management Accountant.
