China Capital Markets Committee

Purpose

This is a senior level committee with a mission of developing China’s capital markets in general. The group will focus on (a) cross-border access and RMB market development both onshore and offshore; (b) oversee all of ASIFMA’s China related working groups (see list below) and create additional ones as required; and (c) input into the annual strategic and economic dialogues coordinated by the US, UK and EU (and any other countries deemed relevant). This group will effectively merge the existing China Strategy Working Group and the Offshore RMB Committee thereby eliminating one group overall. It will also have oversight of all events and conferences (possibly through Program Working Groups) related to China initiatives
