Wee Seng oversees the Energy, Renewables and Infrastructure (ERI) industry coverage group, Strategic Advisory Group, Project Finance Group and Sustainability Group at the Institutional Banking Group of DBS Bank. He was formerly also a Director on the board of DBS China Ltd and was also the Country Head of DBS Vietnam from 2016 to 2021.

Wee Seng played an integral role in the establishment of DBS’ project finance business, having set up the team in 2010. Within a decade, the franchise is now well-recognized as one of Asia’s leading project finance advisory banks. It was awarded Project Finance Advisory House of the Year (Asia-Pacific) by The Asset consecutively for 3 years from 2021 – 2023 and also in 2019. It has also been named Best Project Finance House (Asia Pacific) by Finance Asia from 2021-2023 and was awarded Best Financial Adviser (Asia-Pacific) in the IJGlobal Awards 2020 and 2022.

In addition, he is also a founding member of Clifford Capital, a specialist finance company set up to address gaps in the project and structured asset-backed finance markets. He has been deeply involved in project financing and M&A in Asia, covering projects in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, India, China, Taiwan and South Korea. His sector experience includes power (both merchant and IPP/Captive models), renewables, PPPs and oil and gas (including LNG).
