Christine Kung is the Head of International Affairs and Sustainable Finance at the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). She advises the Commission on strategies in international securities regulatory developments and sustainable finance initiatives. Ms. Kung was instrumental in setting up the SFC International Affairs Group and the Sustainable Finance Group. Apart from participating in the standard setting of International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Ms. Kung is involved in driving the strategy of the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Cross Agency Steering Group and co-chairs its Regulatory Workstream as well as the Disclosure Workstream. Ms. Kung also leads the Sustainable Finance Working Group of the IOSCO’s Asia Pacific Regional Committee. Ms Kung was previously the Commission Secretary managing Board matters and prior to that, an Associate Director of Corporate Finance Division responsible for listings, product authorisation and policy work.

Before joining the SFC, Ms. Kung practised corporate and commercial law in international law firms.
