James has 20+ years of experience in providing advisory service for financial sector clients in China, including IT internal control advisory, IT project advisory, core banking system review and IT regulatory compliance advisory services.

James has considerable experience in co-operation with Chinese Banking Regulatory Commission to perform audits to foreign banks including e-banking audit and IT controls audit. He has provided IT control and risk management training and is the key advisor to Chinese Banking Regulatory Commission in IT compliance. He has also been providing regulatory compliance advisory services to over 17 foreign banks during their incorporation preparation.

He has led several projects in connection with foreign financial institutions’ assessment of the impact of China Cross Border Data regulations on their current cross border data transfers and the redesign of their onshore China target operating models to address the impact.
