Erik is a Director at S&P Global Ratings in Singapore, having been at the firm since 2017. He leads a team in Asia Pacific that is responsible for the Second Party Opinion products for ESG-labelled financing instruments and contributes to the innovation of new sustainability solutions at the firm.

Prior to his role at S&P Global Ratings, Erik led business development for Trucost, ESG analytics division of S&P Global, and was an ESG consultant at EY Climate Change and Sustainability team. He worked with corporates and financial institutions, providing environmental & climate analytics to understand business impacts from climate scenarios and to meet disclosure requirements.

Erik is active in educating market participants on the importance of identifying and managing business risks related to ESG, often invited as a subject matter expert to conferences and C-level meetings across Asia and Australia.

Erik was born in Indonesia and spent his adolescence in Singapore. He completed his Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Honours) from National University in Singapore, where he was also an IARU Sustainability Fellow contributing to a study on Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from transportation.
