Kevin O’Leary is the Chief Information Security Officer, APAC at JP Morgan based in Singapore.

Kevin has over 22 years of experience working for public institutions, private companies and large multinationals across Asia Pacific and Europe in a variety of management, engineering and advisory roles. He has worked both as a Chief Security Officer and Principal Security Architect across a range of business verticals (ICT, pharma, finance, aviation and manufacturing in particular).

Kevin has worked in a variety of roles during the past ten years. Prior to JP Morgan, Kevin worked as the Field Chief Security officer for Palo Alto
Networks in APAC, engaging with customers and public agencies to advise on cybersecurity. Kevin also served as Chief Information Security Officer, GE Regions and Greater China. In this role Kevin advised the global and local leadership on Security and Risk aligned to business strategy within China and other growth regions globally.

Prior to joining GE, Kevin served as Asia Pacific & Japan CISO & Information Risk Management (IRM) Leader for HP Enterprise Security Services. In this role, he was responsible for the stability and growth of HP Security Services in ASEAN, North Asia and ANZ.

Kevin was based in Europe and worked on a variety of projects in the private sector as well as several years with the European Commission in Brussels between 1992 and 2012 before moving to the APAC region to take up the role of Chief Information Security and Risk Officer, HP Delivery at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney.

Kevin holds a MA in medieval history from the National University of Ireland and maintains a keen interest in the subject wherever he travels. As a former player and current qualified referee Kevin has been involved in the development of rugby in China and often travels to take part in tournaments and matches there and across the APAC region, at least pre-Covid.

Kevin lives in Singapore with his family.
