Julian is VP, Asia Pacific, for the Open Source Security Foundation that brings together the most important open source security initiatives and the individuals and companies that support them. The OpenSSF is a Linux Foundation initiative and works with business and policy communities to develop key security standards, practices, and software to ensure the software supply chain is robust and resilient to cyberattacks and vulnerabilities.

Julian builds and supports the OpenSSF ecosystem in Asia Pacific, working with corporations, developers and government agencies, and links organisations and projects in the region with OpenSSF global initiatives. Julian is also VP Asia Pacific for the Linux Foundation’s Hyperledger blockchain initiative.

Prior to working with the foundation, Julian spent the past 20-plus years in regional leadership roles, based in Hong Kong, with technology companies including HP, Sun Microsystems and Cisco. Julian started his career in London, working in technology for trading, risk management and treasury systems at HSBC, Lloyds Bank and Kleinwort Benson.
