Gregory Wurtz has more than 19 years’ experience in global equities markets with a career at the forefront of developments in electronic trading, emerging liquidity opportunities and market structure. Currently he is a Director with Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong, within Global Markets responsible for advising institutional clients on the evolving trading landscape and leading the firm’s liquidity strategy.

Gregory started his career at J.P. Morgan within the Corporate & Investment Bank. With more than a decade on the New York trading floor, and nearing that in Asia Pacific, his role has focused on designing and building electronic trading products; managing relationships with exchanges, alternative trading venues and regulators; and contributing to market advocacy, policy forums and exchange advisory boards.
