Martijn Hoogerwerf has over 10 years of experience in the sustainable finance markets and over 20 years in the financial sector. At ING, he is responsible for originating and structuring sustainable finance transactions across the Asia Pacific region and he is currently the interim Head of Sustainable Finance Asia-Pacific.

Prior to joining ING, Martijn was responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing debt transactions on behalf of the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility (‘TLFF’), a fund established by ADM Capital, BNP Paribas and the United Nations to mobilize private capital for public good in Indonesia. TLFF structured the first corporate Sustainability Bond in Asia in 2018 to finance sustainable natural rubber production across heavily degraded concession areas in Indonesia.

Earlier roles include building the Renewable Energy and Cleantech advisory franchise at Kempen & Co, Chief Strategy Officer at China Europe Bio-Energy Consortium and various Structured Finance roles at Fortis.
